The Living Tradition: Performance & Education
Music is a vessel for history. In these performances, the ancient melodies of the Southwest are brought to life through hand-carved instruments and oral storytelling. From the resonant stone of ancestral villages to the professional stage, each presentation is a journey into the heart of Jemez Pueblo (Walatowa) heritage. Experience a program that balances virtuosic flute performance with deep cultural insights, offering audiences a rare glimpse into the artistry, construction, and spirit of Indigenous music.
