These require more practice (embouchure) than block flutes.
These are crafted from turkey bone or copper, following the lineage of early flutes and whistles found in archaeological sites. Wing bones (ulna) from Eagles, Cranes, and Hawks were used to make these instruments. The Leg bone (tibiotarsus) from turkeys were used instead of the ulna.

Simple flutes made in the style of ancestral reed and bone flutes and whistles.
This style comes from the People of Southern Arizona, but it similar to reed whistles and flutes. For intermediate players.
Most modern "Native American Style Flutes" are two-chambered. The Raramuri flute is a single tube; the player's breath goes directly towards the block which is attached with string or leather. These flutes typically have 3 to 4 holes.
